The VOICE staff first trained the people who directly conduct the camp (teachers and counselors) first, and after training they started operating their respective camps, with support from VOICE team monitoring the progress in each camp, the collection of metrics and follow up activities. During Diwali of 2005, the tri-state Uttaranchali community launched its annual charity fundraising program for Jeevan Jagriti Niketan school in Rishikesh. This debut event included a silent auction of art & craft created by children and a bingo game through which both children and adults raised funds to sponsor the education expenses of two unprivileged children back home. The sponsorship money covered their tuition, books & uniforms expenses. Since then, the Diwali fundraising program for Jeevan Jagriti Niketan has been adopted on an ongoing basis. The surplus funds are utilized by the school for buying library books and supplies. To date, a total of Rs. 58,500 has been donated to Jeevan Jagriti Niketan. Name of School : Jeevan Jagriti Niketan, Rosha Farm, Gumaniwala, Rishikesh, Distt Dehradun. School Administrator : Mr. Yogesh Bahuguna The school is run by a NGO working in Uttranchal for the upliftment of the people living below the poverty line. The name of the school is Jeevan Jagriti Niketan, which means an institution for bringing awareness in life.

During 2011-12 Tristate raised significant awareness & funds for UANA-UF/VOICE Summer Camp Program,It was highly successful. At national level, UANA-UF partnered with VOICE an organization that has developed a summer camp program for girls with a focus on effective communication, life skills, and community involvement. This program was used in Hyderabad, and in for 2012 they adapted a version for North India with local examples and references. We have partnered with VOICE to take this initiative to our Hill Villages.
